2006 Season - Week 8

Hall Of Fame

As we entered the Sunday Night game John needed 5 points from either Kicker John Kasay or RB Marion Barber. With 4 minutes left he only had 2 points from Kasay and with Carolina down by 7 points and facing a 2nd and 6 on their own 6 yard line, it looked like he would miss out. Then Delhomme threw an interception and Dallas got the ball on the Carolina 32 yard line. 5 plays later and with 2:22 on the clock Barber scored to put John in the Hall of Fame. 2 plays later Delhomme was sacked and fumbled and Dallas recovered. 14 seconds later Barber scored again leaving John with a 59 point week and his 3rd visit to the Hall Of Fame. Hall Of Shame For the first time in BUMS history we had the Extreme-double of Fame & Shame in the same week. Phil’s last hope was in the same game but his QB Drew Bledsoe never got into the game. With his kicker on a bye week and New Orleans losing none of his outfield players could help out and Phil entered the Hall of Shame for the second time. Hall Of Fame - Again As voted for by you earlier in the month here are the 4 BUMS players who are the 2006 Hall of Fame inductees. With 70 points running back LaDainian Tomlinson from San Diego was the most popular. Super QB, Patriot Tom Brady was second with 57 and St Louis receiver Torry Holt garnered 51 points. It was very close between two Running Backs for the final place with Atlanta’s (and former FSU star) Warrick Dunn just pipping NY Giant Tiki Barber by 44 points to 43. More exciting news on two extensions to the Hall of Fame – the old school building is coming soon as is news on the Owners Hall of Fame wing. Trading Day 2 4pm Sunday 19th of November at BUMS HQ should be in your diary. This is just before the week 11 games and good changes made here can propel you to the top. BUMS on Seats.
